Soldier for a Day - Vancouver tickets 

The Soldier for a Day work study program will show students how a soldier in the Army Reserve is trained and what they do when they are working for the Canadian Armed Forces. Students will be given the opportunity to see some of the vehicles and equipment that we use as well as have the opportunity to experience a portion of our annual Fitness Test and get basic instruction in marching and drill.

Geering Up Engineering & Science for Kids

 
Geering Up has exciting summer opportunities for High School students who are passionate about Science, Technology, and Engineering.  We offer students the chance to be part of the UBC learning community and connect with faculty, students and like-minded peers.

Geering Up offers high school science and engineering workshops consisting of exciting demonstrations, interactive experiments, and hands-on activities from January to April. Workshops include two Geering Up instructors equipped with all supplies, enthusiasm and excitement for an hour to an hour and a half session.

The manufacturing industry is always changing and evolving. BC needs to stay on top of new product development and new processes to remain competitive. This panel will focus on how this career provides opportunities for lifelong learning and how those opportunities not only help the industry but expand the career path of those within it.
