Volunteer Summer Camp Work

Evan’s Lake Camp In Squamish Looking for Summer Volunteers!

Volunteer Work Crew Info

Do you want to make a difference for youth learning to explore forests while having fun volunteering? Joining the Volunteer Work Crew is an excellent way to build your skill set, gain experience working in a dynamic camp environment, and meet amazing friends. The Volunteer Work Crew members are integral to our team and provide critical support for camp programs. Volunteers split their time between assisting programs, facilities, and food services staff.

Volunteers help clear trails, assist with supervising recreation areas like the boat dock and climbing wall,
join the program staff team to lead overnight hikes, and so much more – all in the same day! Given that volunteers, staff, and campers stay onsite at the Evans Lake Forest Education Centre while camp is in session, the action never stops and, accordingly, applicants should enjoy working in ever-changing work environments. High energy, patience, a can-do attitude, and a passion for forests & working with youth are a must!

o are 17+ years old (16 is the minimum age for the Volunteer Work Crew, but priority is given to 17+yearolds)

* We acknowledge that, for some Volunteer Work Crew applicants, this may be your first significant volunteer work experience. Not only can this role be a rewarding one, but the opportunity to practice researching about volunteer roles and communicating with Evans Lake (as the program host) is excellent for building your general employment skills. In order to support that process for you (the applicants), and for confidentiality reasons, we can only discuss an application with the applicant (i.e. we cannot discuss an application with family members, representatives, or agents). If you have any questions about the role or any aspect of your application, please don’t hesitate to contact us at volunteercoordinator@evanslake.com.
