ENTRY LEVEL JOB AT MAXWELL FIREPLACE--Gas Fitter

 


Maxwell Fireplace is an established company in North Vancouver. Since our inception, we have hired, mentored, and trained many team members resulting in robust and fulfilling careers and a tenured team.

Currently, we are looking to hire an Install Assistant to assist in installing and servicing fireplaces. This entry-level position is the first step in the career path of a Gas Fitter where the successful hire will have the opportunity to be sponsored by us for the Gas Fitter Apprenticeship program and attain their Class B - Gas Fitter Ticket.

VCC Transportation Trades Sampler: Short Certificate Program

 

The Trade Sampler Program for 2023 has been confirmed. Details:

  • Program is 300 hours (Auto body and Collision, Heavy Duty Mechanics, Auto Services Technician )
  • Start and end date February 13- April 21, 2023
  • Daily start and end time: to be confirmed. Usually at 10 or 11 am to 4-5pm
  • Capacity 16 seats. (2 already taken!)

HAVAN Virtual Career Expo for Women

 The Homebuilders Association Vancouver (HAVAN) will be hosting a Virtual Construction Career Expo on Tuesday, November 1, 11am – 7pm, with the platform remaining open through Saturday, November 5 with the option to continue to view booth information/offerings, and book online info sessions. The LIVE day will feature panel discussions from 4pm – 7pm, featuring women currently working in the industry

LIBRARY BOOK SALE VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

 


VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

October 21-23, 2022.

 

Volunteers needed to assist in the set up (on Wednesday October 19  & Thursday October 20), but primarily during our sales days (Friday, Saturday and much of Sunday).  

 

The shifts are two hours each and for each shift worked the volunteer is entitled to 10 free items.

 

The sale takes place in the multi-purpose room across the hall from the Lynn Valley Library.
