BC Ambulance Youth Observation
Attendant Program
· The youth
observation program is available to youth 17 and 18
- They look for youths that have shown an interest via Scouts Canada, Red Cross, St John’s Brigade, life guarding, first responder programs, high school EMR or similar programs or WEX
This package includes the following (many parent signatures needed):
a) CRC online and free
b) Youth Indemnity Form
c) CIS awareness (20 psychologists /physiatrists available to
debrief and available to help deal with what they see)
d)Copy of BCID or Drivers's Licence for ID purposes
e) Reference Letter to state they are a good candidate
f) FIT Testing - getting fitted for a proper N95 mask
g) Information session to discuss with Shaunna what will be
involved in the ride along
h) Students are sent an ID badge
i) Are required to do 3-4 12 hours shifts (both night and day
shifts)
j) Standard Agreements will be sign off by supervisor who
student will be assigned to
