Role summary:
As a work experience student in the Gallery Interpreter position you will engage, amaze and inspire visitors and provide the opportunity for guests to have unique, personal experiences which foster a dedication to conserve aquatic life. Interpretation is the science and art of building connections between visitors and our world.
Specifically, you will:
- Showcase specific animals and provide educational and interpretive opportunities using a variety of props, activities, and information
- Deliver information about various galleries and exhibits
- Run craft and face painting stations
- Facilitate handling of live animals, such as sea urchins and sea anemones
- And other duties to support the Interpretive Delivery team
Commitment:
- Saturdays OR Sundays, October through December 2018.
- Core Training = Saturday 29 September 2018 from 10:00am – 4:00p
- Specific Training = Sunday 30 September 2018 from 9:00am – 5:00pm
