Gallery Interpreter

 
Role summary: 
As a work experience student in the Gallery Interpreter position you will engage, amaze and inspire visitors and provide the opportunity for guests to have unique, personal experiences which foster a dedication to conserve aquatic life. Interpretation is the science and art of building connections between visitors and our world. 
Specifically, you will:
  • Showcase specific animals and provide educational and interpretive opportunities using a variety of props, activities, and information
  • Deliver information about various galleries and exhibits
  • Run craft and face painting stations
  • Facilitate handling of live animals, such as sea urchins and sea anemones
  • And other duties to support the Interpretive Delivery team
Commitment:
  • Saturdays OR Sundays, October through December 2018. 
Mandatory Training:
  • Core Training = Saturday 29 September 2018 from 10:00am – 4:00p
  • Specific Training = Sunday 30 September 2018 from 9:00am – 5:00pm
